They are certainly related!

When I first saw Charlotte's pursed lip pooping face I knew I'd seen it before. When I saw these pictures side-by-side, though, I couldn't help but laugh. Are they brother and sister or what?!?!?

Finally! Welcome Miss Charlotte!

Ok, so she arrived 6 days late and I'm posting this way late as well. Seems to be the trend of the summer. Miss Charlotte Foong Yee (Little Pheonix) Wong blessed us with her arrival at 3:05pm on Wednesday June 10th. The delivery was as good as any delivery can be (thanks for the drugs!) and despite being "sunny side up" just like her brother, she was delivered without the help of forceps this time and after only 8 hours of induced labor. Some of you may have seen a couple pictures of her right after birth, but here she is, randomly, in her first 3 weeks of life. She has grown substantially (was 10.2lbs by our scale at 2 weeks) and is doing well. She is giving us a decent amount of sleep at night and is a good eater. Her big brother likes her a lot and has not shown significant jealous behaviours yet. Lets hope all these good trends continue!

A decent picture

It's not too often a decent picture of me comes along (pregnancy is not flattering and I'm usually the one taking the pictures!) so when one does, I'm impressed enough to share it. :) Here is one from my birthday, taken just over a week ago. You don't get the full belly picture, but there's enough of the baby bump showing to be impressive. Thanks for sharing this one Helen! :)

Visiting with friends

Last week I needed to get out and about with Elijah so on Thursday we went to visit Tracey, Harriet and Rowan. We met up at the library, hung out there for a while then went to their house to play. We played out in their common play area (and snacked on goldfish crackers) then stayed for lunch as well. It was a nice morning. Harriet had braids that day and apparently when Harriet gets braids, Rowan insists on them as well. Here are a couple shots from our visit.

On Saturday morning w
e invited Adam out to play at a park. We hadn't seen him in quite a while and both he and Elijah were very excited to see each other. We ended up going to Central Park. I hadn't been before, but was very impressed. It's a great place to hang out because it's quite spread out, has lots of different activity centers and is partially shaded. I think we'll be going back. I managed to snap quite a few pictures of the boys.

Finally, one of Elijah's favorite activities lately is to water the flowers. He's such a water "baby"! Anything to do with water and he's there. He especially likes using the hose with the nozzle to water everything, but I also fill up the swimming pool and let him use that water to fill and refill the watering can. Keeps him busy. The other pictures I took are of the beautiful irises that finally bloomed this year. Last year
they didn't, but now that they've had time to adjust to where I moved them, they're doing really well!
