Videos!

Ok, I've got time for a couple of video additions and then I'll call it a night. Almost caught up now!

Charlotte vs the hot dog. I think we can all agree on who won that one!

And a link to Charlotte tastes the cake. Cake!!

Charlotte's hair cut

When Charlotte was born she had a lot of hair. She never really lost it either, so now that she's over a year old, it was really long. And whispy. And needed to be cut. Now, I'm a fan of long hair but even I had to admit it needed to be done. So, finally I did it. I was worried. With Elijah, I don't mind cutting his hair since it's just going to be all one length, essentially, and it never looks too bad. With a girl it's a different story. I'd done her bangs once before but this was the back. I figured I'd make it as quick as possible. I gathered it all into a pony tail and cut the tail off. Then I trimmed it to what looked like all the same length at the back. This was all done very quickly, in the bath, with her moving around a lot. In the end, I think it turned out ok. Not that I'll try again any time soon, but it worked this time.

Charlotte's outfits and Elijah aka Spiderman

I try really hard not to be biased when taking pictures of my kids or interacting with them. However, the simple truth is that Charlotte is a girl - and I like dressing her up! She's inherited soooo much clothes that it's always fun putting on new things to see how it looks. So, I realized that I have a whole bunch of pictures of her in cute outfits. I figured I might as well dedicate part of a post to it. :)
The first outfit was given to me by my sister. It's an outfit I bought her daughter and she saved it for me. Too cute.

The second outfit is her first "jean" ensemble. It is super cute as well but boy, this girl can not wear jeans!! Her belly is too big. I put them on and she can't move properly. She only waddles around stiff legged and when she falls down she can't get back up. Ana had a good laugh about that at daycare.

As for Elijah, his wardrobe right now consists mainly of spider man. He only has 1 spider man t-shirt but it's the first shirt he chooses to wear when it's clean. We also went to a birthday party in September that was dress-up. I bought him an early Hallowe'en costume - spider man of course. Given the choice between the $35 official costume with fake muscles and the $20 pyjama set with a hood, like any good (aka cheap-out) mother I chose the reusable pyjama set. He loves it. He's been restricted to wearing the pyjamas to bed only until Hallowe'en but he's allowed to wear the hood around the house. Crazy kid wears it almost all the time.
