My new 2 wheel bike!

Yes, Elijah got a new bike today. We've tried them in the stores for the last few months with mixed reviews, but today he loved this one. I decided to just get it. We brought it home and this is what he looked like on it, the very first time he rode it. I think he likes it.

11 Monthiversary

Well, Monday the 10th was Charlotte's 11 monthiversary. Things are rapidly changing now. I'm going back to work in 2 weeks, Charlotte is getting used to daycare, we're preparing for a major kitchen reno and Charlotte continues to develop new skills every day.

She says "Mama" very clearly and we think she says "Yehyeh". She also calls Elijah. This has developed in the last couple days so I'm going to try and get it on video. I think she also tries to say "Night night" and "Kitty". At least, I seem to recognize the sounds she makes when she tries to mimic me. Of course, this could all just be a parent's fancy. :) Now we're working on Papa but she says Dada instead. Not sure if that's intentional. The video clip shows her babbling, getting up and down from a standing position, a cute little pointy finger thing she's doing now and her "I'm frustrated" noises.

Crawling

For a very long time Charlotte has been doing the "wounded soldier crawl" on her belly. Just in the past week she's figured out the hands and knees crawling method. It's so cute to see. I managed to get a really short clip of her doing it.

Free-standing flail

I just captured this. Charlotte is moving towards walking in leaps and bounds. (haha) Anyway, here she is, doing her free standing bit. This one is actually pretty funny - more action packed than usual.
