Family Pics from Devin's Wedding

Devin and Caroline were out on the West Coast this weekend for a wedding. They stayed with us Sat night and we all hung out together Sunday. We had breakfast out and went to the Aquarium. Elijah was seriously excited about that. I'll have to take him more often. Caroline brought a disk of photos from the day after her wedding. A friend of her's took them for us. There are some shots of our whole family and some of all my parent's grandkids. The rest are just candids.

More Vernon photos, from Goo Ma

Helen managed to get some pictures of our adventures in Vernon too. These ones actually have me in front of the camera instead of behind, so kinda fun for me to look at. You can see them here.

The other Vernon pictures

We did a lot of other things in Vernon with Grandma and Grandpa. The weather was great for the most part and Elijah had lots of fun. Especially when Grandpa came home from work and was able to run around with him. Grandma had lots of cuddle time with Charlotte and I basically had lots of time to take pictures. :)

I've made a slideshow to view here. Enjoy!

8 reasons Goo Ma needs a vacation after her vacation

1. Playing hockey

2. Playing soccer

3. Playing cars

4. Playing on the beach

5. Playing on the swings

6. Finding every single digger possible and talking about them endlessly

7. Feeding Elijah

8. Not a single night of uninterupted sleep

Thanks for coming to Vernon with us Goo Ma!

More tricks from Charlotte

Charlotte seems to be advancing, physically, much faster than Elijah did. Or maybe time just passes much more quickly with 2 kids and we're just being taken by surprise by milestones. In any case, she's already learned how to flip from her back to her front. Crazy. I watched this one happen and managed to catch a picture of her after she did it. Is it just me or does she look a little confused about how she got to this position?

A new camera

Well, Gary bought us a new camera. A very nice digital SLR that I haven't touched yet. Better get on that. However, Gary has taken several pictures with it and here are a few.

This and that during August and September

Here are some random images from events during August and September. One day we visited Josh and his new baby sister Avery. Another day we went to the park at the end of Byrne road for a little while in the afternoon. And another day we met up with Tracey, Harriet and Rowan. We all went shopping in Shopper's Drug Mart and the kids ended up helping Tracey print photos from the little booth there, and fill up some photo albums. There is also a video of here of Elijah with his latest gift from Yehyeh. And finally, some pictures of Charlotte in her Bumbo chair. She's never happy unless she's sitting up and looking around!

A visit with Cam, Sophie, Danika and Lynn

My cousin Cam, his partner Sophie, her daughter Danika and Sophie's mother Lynn came to Vancouver a while ago. The kids and I met up with them in Queen's park one day and hung out for a while. We (the kids) played in the water park, the regular park and visited the petting zoo. Here are a bunch of pictures from the occassion. Not sure if Cam has posted any himself but I'll link to them if I find any.

Today Charlotte is 3 months!

I still haven't caught up with all my other blog posts but I wanted to post some pictures from today since it's 3 months since Charlotte was born. Boy, time sure flies. She's growing so quickly. Let's see... New tricks include blowing raspberries at me, sitting up in a Bumbo with no other support, and the best one - turning herself 180 degrees in the crib! She really messed with my mind on that one. I thought maybe I had put her down in the opposite direction and forgotten. But no, she swings her legs 90 degrees and braces them on the crib bars then pushes herself all the way around. Crazy girl!

Yumi turned 2!

One of the many happenings lately was Yumi's second birthday. We hosted a little family get-together to celebrate this milestone. Uncle John brought the cake, which he had made based on one of her favorite stuffed animals - Pengu. Very cute! She also got some presents, which Elijah was very determined to help her open and use. It's harder than you think to explain to a 2 yr old that he doesn't get any presents.... Anyway, the evening went well and we were happy to help celebrate!
